Newberg Animal Shelter

As a locally owned business in Sherwood OR, Marvin Pierce Dog Teacher actively partners with the Newberg Animal Shelter.

We currently help the Newberg Animal Shelter adopt out one dog per month at no charge and give them the opportunity for tailor-made training with the goal of helping them find their fur-ever homes.

Over the years, Marvin Pierce Dog Teacher has helped many aggressive dogs. Many homes in Sherwood are filled with great obedient dogs since we have begun partnering with Newberg Animal Shelter.

We now maintain a strong relationship with Newberg Veterinary Hospital and are recommended by them to work with all types of obedience and behavioral modifications for dogs. We are also groomer-recommended.

Our Experience

Marvin Pierce Dog Teacher has over 30 years of experience with dog board and training and with general obedience training for dogs. Additionally, Marvin Pierce Dog Teacher sells many other tried and tested training products to help equip each owner with the right dog training tools.

Marvin Pierce developed his master level dog training skills by training the hardest working dogs – cow dogs. With proper training, cow dogs exhibit the ability to track and find cattle, herd them with precise control, and move the cattle where desired. Through his experience in obedience and animals, Marvin Pierce has been able to help some of the most challenging aggressive dogs in Oregon. The Marvin Pierce Dog Teacher team together has saved the lives of many aggressive dogs in Oregon.

Because of the success and popularity of his program, Marvin has extended his expertise to family pet training. Recently, the Marvin Pierce Dog Teacher team has grown to offer puppy board and train and many other dog obedience focused classes. Offering private lessons and group clinics, the dog teacher has been able to change the lives of dog owners by helping them develop and maintain an obedient dog.

Working with dogs was a lifelong passion for Marvin. Now, Marvin has over 30 years of experience training dogs. Marvin now owns Bear, a border collie; Mari, a black Labrador; and Roxie, a chocolate lab.

Bianca Curtis

Dog Trainer

Bianca loves hiking and getting out with her dogs. Really, Bianca loves anything dog related.

she owns Scout, an Australian shepherd; and Tilly, a Redfox lab. Bianca has been training dogs for several years.

Kay Findley

Volunteer Trainer

Kay has been great friends with Marvin Pierce over the years. Kay volunteers around the Sherwood, OR area to help other four legged friends. Kay came to Marvin with her aggressive Rottweiler named Qwen and now, Qwen is a great dog.

Nancy McCann

Nancy has also been friends with Marvin for quite some time. Nancy also volunteers around the greater Oregon area to help other dogs. Nancy owns a golden retriever.
